NAACP to Host Nonpartisan Political Forum on March 26th in Mayfield

Community members will have an opportunity to hear directly from candidates seeking public office during a nonpartisan political forum scheduled for Wednesday, March 26, at 6 p.m. in the auditorium at Mayfield Middle School. 

The forum is being hosted by the NAACP Mayfield/Graves County Branch as part of its ongoing efforts to promote civic engagement and informed voter participation ahead of the upcoming primary elections.

All candidates running in city and county primary races, as well as state and federal positions serving Graves County, have been invited to participate. This includes candidates for State Representative and U.S. Representative seats.

Organizers confirmed that candidates who are running unopposed will also be given the opportunity to make a public statement during the forum.

According to the NAACP, the forum will provide a structured and respectful setting for candidates to share their priorities, address issues affecting the local community, and communicate directly with voters.

The event will be conducted in a nonpartisan manner, with equal opportunity afforded to all participating candidates. The forum is open to the public, and residents of all political affiliations are encouraged to attend
