Governor Andy Beshear joined local leaders in Graves County on November 4, 2025 to celebrate the expansion of MRCOOL, a heating and air company based in Hickory, Kentucky. The $5.3 million project adds 40 new full-time jobs and expands the company’s facility to over 120,000 square feet. The site now includes new office space, a showroom, marketing studio and a training center.
MRCOOL, which began in 2013, now employs nearly 280 people—most of them Kentuckians. Company leaders say the investment reflects their commitment to growing in the community where they were founded.
Local officials praised the expansion as another sign of economic momentum in Graves County.
“We’re proud to see a locally founded company like MRCOOL continuing to invest in our community. Their success reflects the talent and dedication of our people, and this expansion will have a lasting positive impact on families across Graves County,” said Judge Executive Jesse Perry.
Mayfield Mayor Kathy O’Nan also commented on the economic success the county is seeing.
“It is evident that the economy in Graves County is thriving along with that of Kentucky, and this expansion by MRCOOL is such an outstanding example of that. We are proud of their contributions to our community and congratulate this home-grown enterprise on this growth to their business,” said O’Nan.
