A new grant is helping Graves County schools launch a program aimed at easing the transition from middle to high school.
Youth Service Coordinators Jean Ann Kendall and Riley Roberts, along with Health Education Coordinator Katie Revell, are introducing Youth Thrive — a research-based program that builds strengths and supports healthy development in teens.
Youth Thrive focuses on five protective factors, including resilience, social connections, and emotional competence. During the first student-led meeting, organizers said it was clear the program would spark meaningful conversations and problem-solving.
Students will meet monthly to plan activities for the new Youth Thrive Café, giving them leadership experience while providing a supportive space for peers.
