The 15&B Neighborhood Garden in Mayfield has kicked off its third annual Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway, aiming to help local families facing increased need this holiday season. The organization will distribute 100 free turkeys, along with sides, to community members — matching the scale of previous years but responding to what organizers say is “greater need than ever.”
Residents wishing to receive a turkey must sign up in advance at the front office of Wade Farm Financial Services, located at 902 W. Broadway. Sign-ups began Monday, November 17 at 9 a.m., and organizers expect the list to fill quickly.
The giveaway, which has become a tradition for the neighborhood garden, is supported by community donations. Organizers say anyone wishing to help can make a tax-deductible contribution through the provided online link or QR code.
A $25 donation will provide a Thanksgiving turkey to a local family, while a $50 donation will cover both the turkey and accompanying sides.
The 15&B Neighborhood Garden expressed gratitude for the continued support, noting that each contribution helps ensure more families can enjoy a full holiday meal this Thanksgiving.
