The Mayfield Police Department reports one arrest following a theft investigation late last week.
On Friday, November 28th, officers were called to a local business after a shoplifting incident. Surveillance footage identified the suspect as 41-year-old Jesse Piscatelle of Mayfield, but he had already left the scene before police arrived.
The next day, November 29th, an officer spotted Piscatelle near a business on Paducah Road. He was detained until the original investigating officer arrived, then arrested without incident.
Police say some of the stolen merchandise was found on Piscatelle during the search incident to arrest. He was transported to the Graves County Restricted Custody Center and later lodged in the McCracken County Jail, charged with Theft by Unlawful Taking.
