The Four Old Broads return to the Purchase Players stage this weekend for the WORLD PREMIERE of The Four Old Broads Christmas Extravaganza! Our very own theatre was chosen specifically or The cast had their first read-through with playwright Leslie Kimbell back in July, and have been rehearsing since October. Kimbell’s Four Old Broads series is inspired by memories of her Nannie DeVries and Aunt Sissie Bumpus, who were always hysterical and sassy old broads.
The original Four Old Broads play simultaneously won two festivals in 2017 at Centre Stage Greenville in Greenville, South Carolina and Theatre Victoria in Victoria, Texas. Broads also received an AEA Workshop in November 2017 at The Cherry Lane Theatre in NYC, produced by Playhouse Creatures Theatre Company.
