As totals were released Wednesday for charitable contributions from 2025’s BBQ on the River, local nonprofits are highlighting the impact the annual festival has on their ability to serve the community.
According to Beautiful Paducah, the festival raised a total of $364,189.59 for nonprofits and charities throughout the region.
Whitney Wallace, Director of Festival Operations for BBQ on the River, said in an interview with WPSD that the charitable aspect of the event has been especially meaningful since she became involved.
“I’ve had the privilege of seeing firsthand how the event translates community enjoyment into tangible support for local organizations doing important, often behind-the-scenes work,” Wallace said. “What makes BBQ on the River special is that it’s not just a large-scale event; it’s a community-driven effort where businesses, volunteers, teams, and attendees all play a role in giving back to Paducah.”
