Graves Co Sheriff Arrests Tennessee Couple in Wingo

On December 11, 2024 at approximately 11:30 PM, Sgt. Garret Clark was patrolling in the Wingo City limits and observed a vehicle parked at a closed business on US 45. Sgt. Clark made contact with the vehicle and discovered the operator of the vehicle to be 37-year-old Melissa Parrott, and the passenger was 44-year-old James Parrott both of South Fulton, TN.

Melissa Parrott showed signs of impairment and through an investigation was determined to be under the influence of a controlled substance. Located on her person was a concealed quantity of cocaine. A vehicle search was conducted and located in the vehicle was approximately 10 grams of methamphetamine. An active protection order was in place between the two at the time out of Obion County, TN. Both were placed under arrest and transported to the Graves County RC Center.

Melissa Parrot was charged with DUI 1st Offense, Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree – 1st Offense – Methamphetamine, Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 1st Offense-Cocaine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

James Parrott was charged with Violation of a Foreign EPO.

The investigation is on-going by Sgt. Clark with more charge possible. He was assisted by Deputy Austin Caldwell and Officer Brian Mack of the Mayfield Police Department
