MURRAY, KY — Law enforcement agencies from the Calloway County and Marshall County Sheriff’s Offices have apprehended 10 individuals following an extensive investigation into drug trafficking.
According to officials from the Calloway County Sheriff’s Office, undercover operations and search warrants executed in Calloway County resulted in the seizure of substantial quantities of illicit substances. These included crystal methamphetamine, marijuana, psilocybin mushrooms, ecstasy, anabolic steroids, and various prescription narcotics such as Hydrocodone, Oxycodone, and Xanax. Additionally, authorities confiscated four handguns, one of which was reported stolen from Tennessee.
The following individuals were arrested and face multiple charges:
- Andrew S. Heckathorn (32) of Murray, KY: Possession of methamphetamine
- Travis N. Ashley (44) of Murray, KY: Possession of methamphetamine (with firearm enhancement), Receiving stolen property (firearm)
- Victoria J. Overman (34) of Paducah, KY: Possession of marijuana, Possession of ecstasy
- John W. Cloud (50) of Murray, KY: Conspiracy to traffic methamphetamine
- Michael W. Murphy (61) of Murray, KY: Conspiracy to traffic methamphetamine
- Chad M. Bowers (47) of Murray, KY: Conspiracy to traffic methamphetamine
- Darren L. Brandon (48) of Murray, KY: Conspiracy to traffic methamphetamine
- Patricia S. Jones (53) of Murray, KY: Conspiracy to traffic methamphetamine (over two grams)
- Karen R. Ashley (47) of Murray, KY: Trafficking marijuana (with firearm enhancement), Trafficking methamphetamine (with firearm enhancement), Trafficking anabolic steroids (with firearm enhancement), Trafficking hallucinogens (with firearm enhancement), Trafficking legend drugs (with firearm enhancement), Trafficking Xanax (with firearm enhancement), Trafficking Oxycodone (with firearm enhancement), Trafficking Hydrocodone (with firearm enhancement), Possession of drug paraphernalia, Receiving stolen property (firearm), Possession of handgun by a convicted felon

Mayo (36) of Murray, KY: Trafficking methamphetamine (with firearm enhancement), Trafficking Hydrocodone (with firearm enhancement), Trafficking Xanax (with firearm enhancement), Possession of opiates (with firearm enhancement), Resisting arrest, Second degree fleeing or evading police, Tampering with physical evidence, Possession of handgun by a convicted felon, Possession of marijuana, Endangering the welfare of a minor
All 10 individuals are currently detained at the Calloway County Detention Center pending further legal proceedings.
