Murray State University shared an update Friday on construction of the Robert L. and Karen Miller Jackson School of Nursing and Health Professions Building, a major project aimed at expanding health education resources on campus.
The building, commonly referred to as Jackson Hall, is named in honor of former Murray State President Dr. Bob Jackson and his wife, Karen Miller Jackson.
The university held a groundbreaking ceremony for the facility in December 2023. Officials say construction remains on track, with completion expected by the summer of 2026.
According to Murray State, the building will feature state-of-the-art technology, expanded laboratory space, larger classrooms, simulation areas for hands-on training, dedicated collaboration and study spaces for students and faculty, and the campus health clinic.
University leaders say the project is designed to strengthen training opportunities for future healthcare professionals while supporting the growing demand for workforce development in the region
