Two Arrested in Connection to Assault at Murray State University Fraternity House

Two men have been arrested in connection with a late-November assault at Murray State University’s Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity house, where multiple individuals reportedly struck a victim — including one suspect who used a firearm.

According to the Murray Police Department, the incident occurred in the early morning hours at the fraternity house. During the assault, police say multiple firearms were brandished before suspects fled the scene.

Following the ongoing investigation, officers identified two suspects: 18-year-old James Booker and 18-year-old Kamarion Steward — both from Clinton, Kentucky. On Thursday, the Calloway County Sheriff’s Office and the Mayfield Police Department took the pair into custody.

Booker faces charges of:

Second-degree assault

First-degree wanton endangerment

Menacing

Steward faces charges of:

Fourth-degree assault

Complicity to first-degree wanton endangerment

Complicity to menacing

 

Authorities say the investigation remains active, and no additional information is being released at this time.
