Two Teenagers Airlifted After Early Morning Car Crash in Graves County

GRAVES COUNTY, KY – Early Thursday morning, two teenagers were airlifted from the scene of a car crash in Graves County. The Graves County Sheriff’s Office responded to the accident at the intersection of West Slaughter and Old Dukedom Roads shortly after midnight on July 4th.

Investigators reported that the vehicle, driven by 19-year-old Chloe Rodgers of Mayfield, failed to stop at a stop sign and subsequently crashed into a creek bed and treeline. As a result of the accident, two passengers, 18-year-old Niles Philips and 18-year-old Lindsey Bencini, were seriously injured and required airlifting from the crash site for medical treatment.

The driver, Chloe Rodgers, and another passenger, 19-year-old Travis Runyon, declined medical assistance at the scene. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
