RR bridge repairs completed
PADUCAH, Ky. (July 25, 2024) – U.S. 62 has reopened to normal traffic flow at a railroad overpass at the 5.9 mile marker in western McCracken County.
U.S. 62 had to be closed for over 4 hours Thursday morning to allow emergency repairs to a railroad overpass that was struck by an overnight crash, damaging several of the bridge supports.
Railroad inspectors determined that the bridge required immediate repairs. A Canadian Railroad (CNRR) crew arrived at the site and started work about 7:30 a.m. The repairs are completed.
The site is cleared. All lanes are open.
