The Graves County Sheriff’s Office has wrapped up another successful year of its annual “Cram the Cruiser” donation drive, collecting more than 3,500 essential items to help local families during the holiday season.
Deputies and volunteers spent recent days stationed outside local stores, encouraging shoppers to donate food, personal care items and toys — all of which will go directly back into the community.
In total, the drive gathered:
1,806 food items
1,207 toys
509 personal and cleaning items
Donations are now being distributed to local partner organizations. The Mayfield-Graves County Need Line & Food Pantry will receive the food items to support households facing food insecurity, while toys will be delivered to the Community Christmas Connection to help bring joy to children on Christmas morning. Personal and hygiene items will benefit A New Beginning for Women and Children, a shelter providing safe support for families rebuilding from crisis.
The Sheriff’s Office thanked community members for their generosity, noting that every contribution — no matter the size — helps ensure local families receive the care and comfort they need this holiday season.
