National Guard members shot near White House

Multiple National Guard members have been shot near the White House, according to multiple reports.

The Metropolitan Police Department says one suspect custody. Shooting injuries to the suspect are not believed life-threatening.

Published reports say two guard members are hospitalized in critical condition. DC Fire and Emergency Services is attributed to confirming all three were taken to a hospital.

The Joint DC Task Force also responded to the shooting.

Second-term Republican President Donald Trump is not in Washington. His holiday travel plans included golf in West Palm Beach, Fla., on Wednesday afternoon.
