Mr. J. B. Lamb, age 72, of Sedalia passed away on Friday, December 12, 2025 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN.
He was a member of Sharon Baptist Church, a self-employed contractor and the retired owner of J. B. Lamb Trash Service.
J. B. was a friend to everyone he met and would help anyone in need. Anyone who knew him knew just how special he was.
Mr. Lamb is survived by one son, John Lamb of Mayfield, KY; one daughter, Beverly Lamb of Mayfield, KY; one sister, Darlene Rogers of Mayfield, KY; one brother-in-law, Teddy (Phyllis) Ballew of Mayfield, KY; four sisters-in-law, Linda Lamb of Mayfield, KY, Charlotte Moyer of Mayfield, KY, Carolyn (Richard) Shelton of Mayfield, KY and Pauline Lamb of Nashville, TN; two grandchildren, Jade (Ben) Nelson of Murray, KY and Annslie (Coty) Black of Golo, KY; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Fay Ballew Lamb; three brothers, David Lamb, Joe Lamb and William Adams; one sister, Ann Byrd; and his parents, Clovis and Nancy Adams Lamb.
Funeral services for Mr. J. B. Lamb will be 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 18, 2025 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY. Rev. Keith Allred and Barry Pritchard will officiate. Interment will follow at Highland Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Chris Lamb, Steve Lamb, Michael Lamb, Chadley Lamb, Brad Shelton and Wayne Flint. Honorary pallbearers will be Darbie (Stephen) Nanney, Jade (Ben) Nelson, Annslie (Coty) Black, Jimmy Hawkins, Larry Miller, Jerry Miller, Danny Rogers and Bud Key.
Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
