Charlie Waycaster
February 29, 1932 - November 10, 2025

Charlie Lee Waycaster, 93, of Clinton, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2025 at Murray-Calloway County Hospital.

He was born in a leap year on February 29, 1932, in Sledge, Mississippi, and lived a long, hardworking life devoted to his family, church and community. Even when faced with hardships early in life, Charlie remained steadfast and determined, building a life grounded in faith, resilience, and kindness.

Charlie worked in a bakery for many years, drove a school bus, retired from Central Soya Milling Company and later owned and operated a swine farm and a service station. He also served as a security guard at the courthouse before retiring a second time.

He enjoyed growing a garden large enough to help feed many in the community every year. He liked rabbit hunting, cooking, baking, and spending time with his loved ones.

Charlie was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Smith Waycaster; his son, Raymond Waycaster; and all of his 8 siblings.

He is survived by his son, David Waycaster (Kathy) of South Fulton, TN , his daughter, Pamela Waycaster of Lakeland , TN, his grandchildren, Michael Waycaster, Blake Waycaster, his favorite granddaughter Adrienne Wilson, Justin Wilson, and Noah Wilson; and great-grandchildren, Emberly Wilson, Landon Wilson, E.B. Waycaster, and Olivia Waycaster.

A memorial service will be held at 1 PM Saturday, November 22, 2025 at Clinton First United Methodist Church in Clinton, Kentucky with Rev. John Varden and Bro. Bobby Crittendon officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Oakwood Cemetery. Memorial Visitation will be held after 11 AM on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at the Church.
