Ronald D. PateWingo, KY

Mr. Ronald D. Pate, age 85, of Wingo, KY left this world & entered the presence of his Lord & Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, November 22,2025 at Baptist Health in Paducah at 12:13 pm.

Ronald was a member of the Sedalia Baptist Church, was retired from General Tire after 37 years of employment, & served in the U.S. Navy for three years. Ronald loved his Savior, loved his family, & thoroughly enjoyed fishing & UK basketball.

He is survived by of his wife of 61 years, Lana (Britt) Pate; daughter - Shanda (Kenny) Abbott; son - Spencer (Ginger) Pate; 6 grandchildren – Kayla (Steven) Jackson, Blake (Peyton) Abbott, Grayson Pate, Braydon Pate, Kayanna Pate, Annlee Pate; 4 great-grandchildren – Kayden Jackson, Carter Jackson, Callen Jackson, and Forrest Long.

He was preceded in death by his parents – Fred & Iona (Vance) Pate; 3 sisters – Betty (Bennett) Mays, Faye (Pate) McNutt, Paula (Pate) Maddox; 3 brothers – Doyle “Dink” Pate, Phillip Pate, & (infant) Thomas Pate; 1 nephew – Joey Pate.

Funeral services for Ronald will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, November 25,2025 at the Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY with Pastor Gregg Hussey and Pastor Spencer Pate officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Kenny Abbott, Blake Abbott, Scott Tucker, Steven Jackson, Grayson Pate, & Braydon Pate. Burial will follow in the Jones Cemetery. Friends are invited to call between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM at the Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY on Tuesday.
