Teresa Ann Hobbs Schaeffer, more lovingly known as Mom, Granny, & Super Granny, age 87, of Mayfield, KY died at 3:42 AM Sunday, July 21, 2024 at the Jackson Purchase Medical Center in Mayfield. She was proceeded in death by her parents - Bernard Hobbs & Leotta Crackle Hobbs, a sister - Anna Morretto and a brother - Charles Hobbs. Teresa is survived by her four daughters - Ginny Schaeffer of Louisville, KY, Angie (Alan) Chang of Walnut Creek, CA, Sydney Aslion of Madisonville, KY, and Becky (David) Phelps of Mayfield, KY; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, all of whom will miss her loving care and sense of humor. Teresa lived a life of faith as a life long member of St. Joseph Catholic church and in loving service and sacrifice to her family and community, always placing the needs of others before her own. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 25, 2024 at the St Joseph Catholic Church in Mayfield. Fr. David Koonce will officiate with inurnment to follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery following the celebration of life service. Friends are asked to call at the church after 10:00 AM Thursday morning.
