Mr. Wayne Baxter Youngblood, age 78, of Mayfield passed away on Sunday, November 30, 2025 at his residence.

He was a member of Northside Church of Christ, president of Youngblood's True Value and a U.S. Navy veteran.

Wayne graduated in 1965 from Mayfield High School.  He served in the Navy and was stationed in Norfolk, VA.   He got his Bachelor of Science degree from David Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN where he became a CPA as a sophomore and also met his future wife, Phyllis.  Wayne got his Juris Doctor's degree from the University of Kentucky.  He then moved back home to Mayfield to work in the family business, Youngblood's True Value for 47 years.

Mr. Youngblood is survived by his wife of over 55 years, Phyllis Bowling Youngblood; one son, Tony (Erica Ciccarone) Youngblood; two brothers, Eddie Youngblood of Mayfield, KY and Harmon Youngblood of Tampa, FL; one sister, Diane McEndree of Franklin, TN; one god grandson, Grandon Townsend of Mayfield, KY; and his caretaker/nurse, Amy Townsend of Mayfield, KY.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Hope Lyca Youngblood and his parents, Gay and Edith Smith Youngblood.

Memorial services for Mr. Wayne Baxter Youngblood will be 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY. Chris Kemp and Tyler Wunderlich will officiate.

Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
